Veneers
Porcelain veneers are very thin, porcelain shells that cover your existing teeth. They are used to correct a variety of common cosmetic problems including:
- Cracks and chips due to trauma or excessive wear
- Rotated or minor misaligned teeth
- Discolored teeth due to food or drink
- Discolored teeth that came in dark yellow or gray from antibiotics
- Misshaped teeth or an uneven smile
Porcelain veneers are made from a mold of your teeth and custom made to fit each individual tooth. Porcelain also reflects light in the same manner as natural teeth, providing a seamless, beautiful smile.
Types of Porcelain Veneers
Lumineers or non prep veneers are veneers that require no preparation on the teeth. When someone has a lot of open spaces between their teeth or the teeth lean inward than a no -preparation veneer can be performed to correct these issues.
Traditional all porcelain veneers are veneers that require a minimal preparation on the teeth to compensate for the small thickness of the veneers.
