Invisalign
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you simply wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your treatment plan calls for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile that you’ve always wanted. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Health Benefits
The benefits of having properly aligned teeth extend far beyond a confident smile. Straightening your teeth can actually significantly affect your overall health. Properly aligned teeth are easier to keep clean therefore, reducing the incidence of periodontal disease and properly aligned teeth function properly in chewing reducing the incidence of broken or fractured teeth (caused by chewing trauma).
Length of treatment
While every case is unique to each patient, treatment typically takes approximately one year for adults. For teens, the length of treatment is comparable to that of braces, but since your teeth won’t be covered by wires and brackets, you’ll be able to see improvement much sooner. For best results and timely outcome, you should wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day, throughout your entire treatment.
Process
At the first appointment x-rays, pictures, and impressions of your teeth are taken which Invisalign will use to create a digital 3-D image. From these images, we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth. Based on your individual treatment plan, a series of custom-made, clear aligners are created for you. At each appointment, you will be given three sets of aligners in the series. You will wear one set of aligners for approximately two weeks before changing it out for the next one in the series. Your periodic appointment will be approximately every six weeks.
